I really like the sonar pen and when you get a good pressure sensitivity setting it really is great. The pin nib broke after 2 weeks so I think they could work on that and I am a little heavy handed but I have had a diffrent disk stylist so I wouldn’t blame it on myself but I got the 3 backups so that’s good. The cord is annoying but you get used to it.Overall this product is good at what it’s made for and I would definitely reccomend just get extra nibs.(sorry I can’t show you pictures,I recently broke my tablet and the pen isn’t working but I dont balme the pen it’s just the tablet itself)

It’s amazing! I’m from Spain and I was a little scared of shipping, but it didn’t take long to arrive (about a month or a month and a half I think) and since then I have not stopped using it, I LOVE IT. I use it on my mobile although it works on all the devices where I have tried it, and I have drawn with it from pet portraits to stickers designed by me, that I print and send to my clients. It is totally a professional pencil, I totally recommend it!! I bought this one that comes with several nibs, but the pencil itself has a replacement. The only downside, the cable is a bit short and I can’t get the plug in place when I put it away, but it’s no problem beyond aesthetics.

My dear sister said that it loved it. She is an armature but yet her old pen gave up on her. Her transmission was smoothly. But those who buy it read carefully and check your drawing tablet for any occasion. But wonderful pen she is still using it. Awesome drawings that she has made with this pen.

I only received one extra nib, but it was still a good deal.

I’m in love with Sonarpen! I haven’t totally gotten used ro it, but it’s really cool, it does the job and I’m totally conformed with my purchase.
There are only few things that bother me somehow. 1, I can’t hear music while I draw, thing I like to do, and answering a call on my phone when it’s connected, can be a problem (not so much, just unplug it and solved). 2, the cable is too short, I’d add 5-10 cm to it and it’d be perfect, I know that’d be a bit problematic for the “packing”, but it needs to be done. Also adding a cap to protect the nib would be a great idea.
I’ll keep drawing with it until I finally get used to it perfectly (and find the coreect settings in the different apps I use).

Great product and great value, at first I had some trouble getting it to work, but the developers helped out a bunch and now it works like a dream. Would recommend to any artist with an Android phone.

Lets start with the good,
1. Pressure sensitivity works very well.
2. Very affordable.
3. Comfortable to hold feels solid.
4. Has palm rejection for older iPads but not older android tablets like the tab E.
5. No battery life, or Bluetooth to deal with or worry about.
6. It’s pretty much plug and play.
7. Smooth drawing experience.
Now the not so good,
1. Pen sometimes disconnects from your device. (This is an app and driver issue not the pens fault)
2. The palm rejection can be a bit weak on older ipads, I had mine rejecting my palm about 80% of the time.
3. It can take some getting used to using the pen with a cord attached to it, the cord can get in the way and make it awkward to draw with.
4. Very few apps support this pen, but that should change if we contact app developers and let them know about this pen!
Overall I am happy with my purchase, I was more interested in giving new life to my android tablet but for now the older iPad is what I’m using currently. If you get this pen contact all the developers that have added this pen into their apps and ask for better support.

Models used:
– d-01j (Android Kirin 950)
– ipad mini4 (iOS A8)
Applications used:
– ibisPaint X
Good point:
– Very good cost performance.
– The cursor becomes more stable than the bluetooth type pen.(It is personal impression.)
– You can use either android and ipad if your used application is compatible.
Bad point:
– There are few supported applications.
– There are times when the pen does not respond when connecting to the device (react once it is plugged removed and in from the setting screen in the application.I think that this is due to the problem of perfection of the corresponding application.).
– Let’s hook it on something and use it successfully as the cable hits the hands and it may get in the way.
– It is a bit hard to use until you get used to it.
Summary:
– It is a good item that can draw a picture cheaply if it can be used well.
– I hope that applications that correspond to more pressure sensing will be added in the future!

Got one of these for my old iPad 3 (Retina 2012). Previously I used the Bamboo stylus from Wacom though the SonarPen lets me also write and paint with pressure sensitivity on IbisPaint. The stylus also works without pressure sensitivity for other apps as well. Though the pressure sensitivity is a welcome addition. Hope to see more software support from other apps in the future.
It is great that I can use my old iPad again as it was just gathering dust in a drawer before this. A great way to give back life to an old iPad.
